Lyla is the owner of L.J. Designs, specializing in design, publication and distribution of patterns, free lance teaching, participation in consumer shows and seminars, and writing. Her varied background enriches her current capacity, and includes adult and high school education, retail sewing store ownership, ready-to-wear factory experience, and professional dressmaking. She holds a B.A. degree in Home Economics Education and a masters degree in Clothing and Textiles.
